Learning achievements certification system

[Genre 2 Specialized academic skills]

Making the best use of basic knowledge and learning expertise necessary for advancing research in individual fields of expertise are also important subjects of learning at the undergraduate school. In genre 2, the achievement of knowledge and learning in each individual specialty field is determined based on a group of specialized subjects conducted by each department, and the knowledge and abilities acquired in undergraduate school as well as those of the specialty fields taken in master’s course are evaluated. In addition, not only the grades of the courses each student takes, but also the grades of the level judgment tests that are conducted for each department will be comprehensively evaluated.

In genre 2, each student’s level is determined by evaluating the total scores of the following three items: “specialized subjects of the undergraduate school”, “level judgment tests etc.” and “subjects of the graduate school”.

The evaluation of “specialized subjects of the undergraduate school” and “subjects of the graduate school” is made based on the achievements in specialized subjects and the number of credits set by each department or major. Since the specialized subjects that are offered differ depending on the department, graduate school, or major, the group of subjects and criteria for granting points for the level judgment of genre 2 are determined by the department and major to which the student belongs.

The evaluation of “level judgment tests etc.” is made based on the results of level judgment tests etc. conducted based on undergraduate specialized education subjects. The content and implementation period of the level judgment test, etc. differ depending on the department. It is generally assumed that the level judgment tests etc. will be taken in a period between the end of sophomore year and the end of junior year.

The basic point is level 1. Although the level evaluation criteria for genre 2 are decided and implemented for each department, it is common for students from all departments to reach level 5 at graduation from undergraduate school and to reach level 7 at graduation from graduate school (master’s course).
