International Strategy Leader Course (former: International Adaptability Training Course)
~Understanding numerical data and developing international strategies~

<Purpose>

In order to be able to have a valuable social impact in a rapidly changing international society, it is necessary to have a broad view of the world’s movements, analyze those changes based on various numerical data, and develop the ability to formulate strategies. In this lecture, we aim to help students to acquire these basic skills.

  • Target students: Engineering students (other faculties can apply)
  • Recruitment number (selection number): About 20 students in each grade

<Contents>

This lecture focuses on how to read various figures of companies including financial status and how to formulate global strategies. Students will deepen the discussion by investigating and analyzing individually while bringing in their opinions and debating them.

(1)Know about the world
Find out how the problems in the current world arose. (Understanding the diversity of the world and the history of regions and ethnic groups)

(2)Acquire basic skills
Understand the values from the numerical data and consider what judgments and decisions they came from.
From the financial statements of the companies since they were founded, we can read the following things:
・what social value is and how important the long-term outlook is
・What judgments and decisions led to failures and successful leaps
・What the essence of new value isく

<Preliminary report assignment>

Investigate the global strategies of the two designated companies and make your own proposal. We are waiting for bold and interesting proposals that are not bound by existing frames! *Submit a preliminary report to apply.
